📄 Abstract

The rural development programs and steady economic growth, poverty remains one of the major socio-economic issues of India. Microfinance and sustainable agriculture are two complementary strategies that help in achieving better financial inclusion as well as increasing income-generating opportunities of rural households. The current research paper studies the impact of combining microfinance services with sustainable agricultural practices on poverty alleviation in India. A quantitative research method was applied which involved collecting primary data from 86 respondents made up of small farmers, agricultural laborers, and rural businessmen. Descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were used to analyze the data and understand the links between microfinance, sustainable agriculture, and poverty reduction. Integrating finance with sustainable agriculture leads to creating livelihoods and building capacity.
