📄 Abstract
The Trividha Roga Vishesha Vigyaniyam Vimana constitutes the fourth chapter of Vimana Sthana in Charaka Samhita, which is universally regarded as the epistemological and methodological cornerstone of classical Ayurvedic medicine. The chapter establishes a definitive tri-pronged framework for disease-specific knowledge understanding through Aptopadesha (authoritative instruction), Pratyaksha (direct sensory perception), and Anumana (logical inference) collectively termed Trividha Pariksha. This triad not only defines the epistemological hierarchy of clinical knowledge but also helps to complete process of patient evaluation through known patient examination Trividha, Shadvidha, Ashtavidha, and Dashavidha Pariksha each serving a distinct and complementary clinical function. The present comprehensive clinical review systematically analyses the applied dimensions of this chapter through critical examination of primary classical texts, commentary literature, and contemporary peer-reviewed research. The review demonstrates that the Trividha Pariksha framework remains scientifically valid and clinically applicable in modern healthcare contexts, exhibiting significant parallels with evidence-based medicine, precision diagnostics, clinical reasoning theory, and patient-centred care. The chapter's guidance on Anukta Vyadhi (novel diseases) management is of particular contemporary relevance. The study concludes with recommendations for standardisation and integration of this framework into modern Ayurvedic clinical practice and research methodology.
