📄 Abstract
Mental health literacy (MHL) is the knowledge and understanding that enables individuals to recognize, manage, and prevent mental health issues effectively. As mental health disorders continue to rise globally, fostering MHL is vital to combating stigma, promoting early intervention, and enhancing community resilience. This review explores the concept of MHL, its impact on public health, barriers to its dissemination, and effective strategies for empowerment. Evidence-based approaches, community-driven initiatives, and policy recommendations are discussed to provide a comprehensive framework for action.
