📄 Abstract
This study examined the employability outcomes and curriculum relevance of Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSED) graduates majoring in Mathematics, English, and General Science from 2023 to 2025 at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology – San Isidro Campus. Using a descriptive quantitative tracer study design, data were gathered through a modified Commission on Higher Education (CHED) tracer questionnaire administered to graduates. Findings revealed generally high employability rates, with private institutions serving as the primary employers. Teaching remained the dominant career pathway; however, an increasing number of graduates entered non-teaching professions, indicating diversification of employment opportunities. Employment was largely contractual, reflecting early-career instability and limited public sector absorption. Graduates perceived the curriculum as relevant, although declining alignment was observed among recent cohorts. The results highlight the importance of curriculum modernization, employability skill enhancement, and strengthened industry–academe partnerships. The study provides empirical evidence to support strategic program improvement and quality assurance initiatives in teacher education programs.
