📄 Abstract
Uzbekistan has been integrating participatory budgeting into its public financial management system since 2019 to enhance citizen involvement in fiscal decision-making. While progress has been made, challenges remain in ensuring efficiency, equity, and transparency. This study examines the evolution of participatory budgeting in Uzbekistan, assesses its effectiveness, and proposes strategies for its optimization.
