📄 Abstract
Swami Vivekananda, a visionary philosopher and educationist, emphasized holistic development, character building, self-confidence, and service to humanity through education. His educational ideas provide a strong philosophical foundation for modern teacher education. This paper explores how Vivekanandas principles can inform and enhance teacher preparation programs in India. It also examines their alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes value-based, multidisciplinary, and holistic teacher training. By integrating Vivekanandas insights with contemporary educational practices, teacher education can cultivate competent, ethical, and socially responsible educators capable of shaping future generations effectively.
