📄 Abstract
Performance trends in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) among Bachelor of Secondary Education (BSE) major in Mathematics graduates from Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) San Isidro Campus were examined from 2023 to 2025. Employing a descriptive quantitative design, official Professional Regulation Commission data on passing rates and mean scores across General Education, Professional Education, Major (Mathematics), and General Average were analyzed. Findings indicate steady improvement: general average rose from 78.79 (fair) in 2023 to 82.22 (satisfactory) in 2025. Professional Education demonstrated strongest gains (86.15 by 2025), while General Education remained stable (82-84 range). The Major area lagged, advancing from 73.65 (below passing) to 79.62, with early high failure rates signaling content mastery gaps. Strengths reflect robust pedagogical preparation; weaknesses highlight deficiencies in higher-order mathematics skills, aligning with national concerns like low PISA scores. Results underscore needs for curriculum alignment per CHED standards and SDG 4, informing targeted interventions for licensure success and competent educator development.
