Myanmars cultural identity is deeply intertwined with Buddhism, shaping its societal norms, values, and practices for centuries. This paper explores the multifaceted relationship between Buddhism and Myanmars cultural identity, delving into historical, social, and religious dimensions. Drawing upon scholarly research and cultural analysis, it investigates the pivotal role of Buddhism in shaping Myanmars ethos, rituals, art, and literature. Moreover, it examines the interplay between Buddhism and other cultural elements, such as ethnicity and politics, elucidating how Buddhism has influenced and been influenced by various facets of Myanmars diverse cultural landscape.
