📄 Abstract
Mobile learning has also emerged as an important area in higher education, especially with the growing use of smartphones by students for learning-related purposes outside the classroom. This paper explores the use of mobile learning applications in facilitating self- study activities among university students by analysing their use in independent learning, time management, and understanding. A quantitative survey was conducted among 90 -100 students enrolled in different areas of study to analyse usage patterns, benefits, motivational factors, and learning issues related to mobile learning applications. The findings suggest that mobile learning applications assist students in learning time management, flexible learning, and improving understanding by using multimedia. Reminders, explanations, and gamification were found to be useful tools in enhancing engagement and motivation. However, issues related to distractions, network connectivity, hardware issues, and cognitive overload were also identified as important concerns. This paper says that mobile learning is helpful, for university students who want to study on their own.It really works if students get support and know how to use computers and phones. They also need apps to make it work. Mobile learning is a tool that helps students learn by themselves using learning.Students can study at their pace with mobile learning.
