The word mathematics is derived from an ancient Greek word meaning â??to know the sciencesâ?. The object of study of mathematical science consists of the spatial forms of things existing in matter and the quantitative relations between them. The purpose of teaching mathematics is determined by its role in the development of society and the formation of the individual.
