📄 Abstract

Several research studies have examined the effectiveness of conventional versus integrated training approaches in precision shooting. Sharma and Kumar (2020) conducted a controlled study examining the differences between yoga-enhanced training and traditional methods in elite rifle shooters. The study aimed to evaluate the impact of incorporating yoga into shooting training programs, focusing on shot consistency, anxiety reduction, and overall performance improvements. The findings suggested that shooters who integrated yoga into their training routines demonstrated significant advantages over those following conventional methods. Shot consistency is a critical factor in rifle shooting, where precision and accuracy determine success. The study revealed that athletes practicing yoga displayed enhanced control over their movements, leading to greater uniformity in shot placement. Yoga’s emphasis on breath control, body awareness, and posture alignment contributed to improved motor coordination, reducing unnecessary movements that could disrupt shooting stability.
