📄 Abstract
This study investigates the profound influence of Internet usage on the lives of undergraduate and postgraduate students in Shillong, Meghalaya. This study employed a descriptive research design. Data were collected through web questionnaires distributed across various social media platforms. The internet has undeniably become an integral part of modern life, particularly for today's youth, offering invaluable benefits such as access to information and online education. However, the research highlights the potential pitfalls, including disrupted sleep patterns and mental health concerns, stemming from excessive internet use. Furthermore, it underscores the complex impact of internet use on family relationships, emphasising the need for a balanced approach to integrating it into daily life.
