📄 Abstract
Scholars of womenâ??s studies investigate the status, roles and treatment of women, as well as the historical and regional variation in meanings of womanhood and how â??womanâ?? relates to other identity categories. When it was first established, the goal of womenâ??s studies was to have women not only as objects of analysis, but also as subjects producing new types of knowledge. Since then, the fieldâ??s scope has expanded to include research into the full range of gender formations. This paper will look at specific areas where women are contributing towards a better society.
