📄 Abstract
The paper compares the AT&C losses of the power sector of Punjab and Haryana, following the adoption of UDAY scheme. The analysis is done by employing various statistical tools such as CAGR, growth rate, exponential growth rate and regression. The data for this study is extracted from reports published by the PFC for the years 2012-13 to 2023-24. It was concluded that Haryana’s power sector had improved significantly as compared to Punjab’s. However, Punjab already was in a much better state. It is suggested to further reduce the losses by adopting GIS mapping, feeder metering etc.
