📄 Abstract
Employee engagement is crucial to every organisation and this can be promoted by Human Resources management practices. Thus, the objective of the study therefore is to investigate human resource management practices and work engagement among employees in selected pharmaceutical companies in Otta-Ogun State, Nigeria. A survey research design was used in this study. A sample of two hundred and thirty-eight was drawn from the study of five hundred and ninety-two using Taro Yamane sample formula. Questionnaire was used to gather information from respondents. Data from the respondents was analysed through Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS, version 20). Simple percentage, correlation matrix, and regression analysis were used to analyse both the research questions and hypotheses. The finding showed that there was a strong relationship between human resources management practices, and employee engagement among employees in selected pharmaceutical companies in Otta-Ogun State, Nigeria. The study recommended that competent human resource personnel should be consulted to address the issue of workers’ engagement through reviewed policies, programs, and advanced technology.
