📄 Abstract
The growing reliance on data-driven practices has transformed Human Resource Management (HRM) into a strategic partner in organizational performance. This study investigates the awareness and understanding of HR analytics tools among HR professionals in the Delhi NCR region, with a particular emphasis on the IT and ITES sectors. Employing a descriptive and empirical design, primary data were collected through structured questionnaires and semi-structured interviews with HR managers and executives. The dataset was analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential tests to evaluate familiarity, application levels, and perceived challenges in adopting HR analytics. Findings reveal that while a majority of respondents demonstrate moderate awareness of advanced tools such as Tableau, Power BI, and SAP SuccessFactors, their practical application remains limited to basic HR functions such as recruitment and performance monitoring. Key barriers include inadequate technical skills, concerns over data privacy, and the persistence of traditional decision-making practices. Conversely, organizations that invested in training and digital infrastructure reported higher adoption rates and improved alignment of HR strategies with business objectives. The study underscores the importance of bridging the knowledge–practice gap through continuous capability-building and fostering a data-driven culture. These insights contribute to both scholarly literature on HR analytics adoption in emerging economies and offer practical guidance for organizations seeking to integrate artificial intelligence and analytics into their HR systems.
